Our firm has a long and distinguished real estate association with the citizens of Roswell, NM. Founded in 1956 by Mr. Ed Leslie, whose primary focus was on land development and home building, the company was the major developer of two northeast Roswell subdivisions, Linda Vista and Coronado. Mr. Leslie later moved to Albuquerque, NM to pursue development there and left Home Planning to the oversight of Mr. Tommy Ansley. Ansley later acquired ownership of Roswell Home Planning and directed his efforts to the marketing of resale residential properties and land development.

Under Tommy's direction, Home Planning became a CENTURY 21® franchised office in 1982 and continued successfully until it was sold in June 1991 to Steven W. Smith. Under Steve's direction the firm enjoyed healthy growth during the 1990's with it's major focus being quality service and the growth of our sales force. CENTURY 21 Home Planning merged with another local CENTURY 21 office, First Choice REALTORS®, in October 1996 further enlarging our sales staff and improving our service to local real estate needs as well as the increasing number of newcomers to our community.

CENTURY 21 Home Planning built a new modern office building on North Main Street in 1996. Enlarged and improved facilities further enabled CENTURY 21 Home Planning to serve the growing real estate needs of our community. Another major step was taken in 1998 when CENTURY 21 Home Planning purchased and merged Associated REALTORS® of Roswell and nearly doubled the size of our sales staff. Innovation, expansion and dedication to serving our customers has been a driving force behind the growth enjoyed by our firm.

Owner Steve Smith invited Walt R. Davenport to become associated with CENTURY 21 Home Planning in 1999. Walt brought a diversified background to CENTURY 21 Home Planning. A long history in retail business, wholesale oil and gasoline, and ranching and livestock production provided a strong background in marketing and service to customers and clients.

In 2005 David Duer joined as an owner of CENTURY 21 Home Planning.  He assumed full daily management of the company in 2007.  David has a deep commitment to providing quality service to make a real estate transaction as pleasant and stress free as possible for our clients and customers. Our firm has had the privilege of serving the needs of hundreds of real estate sellers and buyers over the past years and we are dedicated to improvement and growth in knowledge and skills in the ever-changing real estate world.
